Canadian Tourism College is proud to announce that we are now a “Microsoft IT Academy” member. “This program offers significant benefits to the College, our students, particularly those in our Computer Office Training program, as well as each staff member” said John Brouwer, Director of Education. "Probably the most significant benefit of this program is the prestige that this gives the College as we join only 14 other educational institutions in BC in being offered this membership." A plaque that we received and which will be proudly displayed at each campus states:
“In recognition of your commitment to student success through excellence in IT education.”
The Microsoft IT Academy program provides educators with the tools they need to effectively train students on Microsoft technologies, prepare students for the global economy, and create a skilled community. This membership program offers curricula, courseware, and online learning for students focused on a profitable career path, life-long learning, and Microsoft certification.
One great feature is the availability to all Microsoft software (excluding Office) at no charge. That means that staff and students can download any Microsoft software product at no charge. These are fully functional and fully licensed programs just as you would buy in a store. A list of the various titles is attached.
For more information on this program and benefits, please contact John Brouwer or Rob Donald.
