Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management or related field AND 2 years of teaching or industry experience.

A master’s degree is preferred.

Certifications in the related field will be an added advantage.

 

Skills and Abilities

Relevant professional skills and knowledge related to Tourism and Hospitality Management,

including ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.

Ability to motivate and inspire students and ability to work cooperatively with other instructors and staff.

High standards of behavior, a professional attitude and commitment to quality service

Ability to consider and respond appropriately to students’ needs, feelings, and

capabilities, provide feedback, and treat students equitably.

Ability to learn and use technology to enhance the student learning experience.

 

Duties and responsibilities

Adhere to the policies and mandates of the College

Ensure appropriate and respectful student-teacher communication

Assess and evaluate students to ensure they meet program requirements

Teach and support students, ensuring they meet all elements of the required skills

contained within their program.

 

Manage and mentor student relationships and expectations.

Assess, evaluate, and report to the program coordinator on student progress on a

weekly basis or as required.

 

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
