CTC guarantees practicum and co-op placements for all Travel & Tourism and Hospitality students

For Immediate Release

VANCOUVER, BC – Canadian Tourism College can now guarantee practicum and co-op placements for all students taking certificate or diploma programs in Travel & Tourism or Hospitality thanks to an agreement with Stepwest Experience Providers Inc. (Stepwest).

“Hands-on work experience is an essential part of many of our programs,” Dylan Matter, CTC Vice-President of Operations said. “It gives students the opportunity to apply what they’re learning in class, get a feel for a career their considering, and gain industry contacts all before they graduate. This partnership ensures every student will find a placement and that all co-op placements will be paid.”

Beyond securing placements, Stepwest will also provide resume feedback, and interview coaching and preparation ensuring students leave CTC with the necessary skills to continue to secure exciting employment opportunities throughout their careers.

Previously instructors worked with students to secure practicum and co-op placements. This new arrangement will allow instructors more time to focus on program development, class instruction, and one-on-one assistance with students.
